I was tasked with designing a new logo for a potential railway link to Glasgow Airport, which presented an exciting opportunity to create something that would be seen throughout Scotland. The design brief required a logo that was visually engaging and that effectively communicated the purpose and importance of the proposed railway link. To ensure that the final design was both effective and meaningful, I conducted extensive research on the Scottish transportation industry and the airport's role in connecting Scotland to the world.
Despite my best efforts, the project I was working on did not proceed. However, during the design phase, the logo I created was selected to be used if the project had gone ahead. I took a thorough approach to the logo design process, conducting extensive research and analysis of the project's goals, target audience, and branding requirements. I collaborated closely with the team to ensure that the logo design was both visually compelling and effectively communicated the project's messaging. Although we were disappointed that the project did not come to fruition, we felt a sense of pride in the fact that the logo design was recognized for its quality and potential impact. Through this experience, I gained valuable insights and skills that I can apply to future projects.
